Why We Exist
Creo Classical Academy was born out of a deep desire to serve homeschool families in the Capital District who were looking for something more — a community, a structure, and an academic program worthy of the children entrusted to them.
Classical education is not a new idea. For centuries, the greatest minds in Western civilization were formed by the trivium: grammar, logic, and rhetoric. These are not simply academic subjects — they are ways of thinking that shape the whole person.
We believe that education is formation. Every subject, every conversation, every book is an opportunity to shape a student's character, deepen their faith, and expand their understanding of the world God created. At Creo, we do not separate learning from living.
Our university model gives families the best of both worlds: the relational warmth and flexibility of homeschooling, combined with the structure, community, and expertise of a traditional school. Students attend classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays and continue their studies at home the rest of the week.

Rest
We believe that healthy rhythms of work and rest are essential for flourishing. Education should be life-giving, not exhausting. We build margin into our program so students and families can breathe, reflect, and be restored.
Excellence
We pursue excellence in everything we do — not as a performance, but as an act of worship. We believe that doing good work with our God-given gifts honors the Creator who made us. We hold high standards while extending grace.
Academic Integrity
Truth matters. We are committed to honest inquiry, rigorous scholarship, and intellectual humility. We teach students to love truth wherever it is found and to engage ideas with both confidence and charity.
Dignity
Every person is made in the image of God and deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. We cultivate a culture of kindness, inclusion, and genuine care for one another across every grade level and role in our community.
Statement of Faith
Creo Classical Academy is a Christian institution. The following reflects the foundational beliefs that guide our community.
- ✓The Bible: We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. Scripture is our ultimate authority in all matters of faith and practice.
- ✓God: We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things.
- ✓Jesus Christ: We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
- ✓The Holy Spirit: We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
- ✓Salvation: We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost — they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. We believe salvation is received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone.
- ✓The Church: We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ Jesus and in the local church as the body of Christ, called to worship, discipleship, fellowship, ministry, and mission.
- ✓Human Dignity: We believe that every human being is made in the image of God and therefore possesses inherent dignity and worth. We are committed to treating every member of our community with respect, kindness, and grace.
- ✓Creation: We believe that God is the Creator of the universe and all living things. We affirm His sovereign design over all creation and seek to study His world with wonder and careful inquiry.
