Why Creo

What Makes Us Different

A classical education grounded in faith, delivered with passion and purpose.

Qualified Teachers

At Creo Classical Academy we value passionate teachers who are ready to integrate meaningful discussions and a biblical worldview into the subjects they are teaching. Our faculty bring both academic excellence and genuine faith to every classroom.

University Model

University model, smaller class sizes to ensure quality. Our homeschool drop-off program for elementary through high school meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays, giving families the flexibility they need while providing structure and community.

STEM Excellence

Creo Classical Academy offers high quality STEM classes designed to evoke a passion for learning. Through hands-on experiments, critical thinking exercises, and real-world application, students discover how science and faith work together.

Academic Community

Academic Excellence, Together

Creo Classical Academy offers a supportive academic community for homeschool families in the Capital District. We understand that homeschooling can be a rewarding but demanding journey, and we are here to walk alongside you.

Inspired by the Charlotte Mason philosophy and the classical trivium, our program weaves together the best of time-honored educational traditions with the warmth of a close-knit faith community. Students are not just taught — they are known, nurtured, and encouraged to discover the unique purpose their Creator has designed for them.

Our university model means students attend classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, returning home to continue their studies with the guidance of their parents. This partnership between school and home is at the heart of everything we do.

The Trivium

Three Phases of Classical Learning

The classical trivium meets students where they are developmentally, guiding them from wonder and knowledge through understanding to wisdom and expression.

01

Grammar Phase

K–5th Grade

In the early years children enjoy absorbing information through memorization, rhyme, and song. This is a season of wonder and discovery where young minds soak up knowledge like a sponge. Students build a strong foundation in language arts, history, science, and mathematics through engaging stories, hands-on activities, and the joy of learning.

02

Logic Phase

6th–8th Grade

In the middle grades, students engage in critical thinking and begin to question and analyze the world around them. The Logic Phase builds on the grammar foundation by teaching students to reason carefully, identify fallacies, and construct coherent arguments. Subjects are studied in greater depth as students learn to connect ideas across disciplines.

03

Rhetoric Phase

9th–12th Grade

In the high school years, students further develop their use of grammar and logic to communicate persuasively and eloquently. They learn to express their ideas with clarity and conviction, preparing them for college, career, and citizenship. Students study great works of literature, history, philosophy, and science while developing their own voice and worldview.

The task of the modern educator is not to cut down jungles, but to irrigate deserts.

Our Commitment

Built on Three Pillars

Every decision we make at Creo Classical Academy flows from these three foundational commitments to our students.

Pillar 01

Student Leaders

We cultivate servant-leaders who understand that true leadership means putting others first. Through collaborative projects, student government opportunities, and community service, Creo students develop the character and skills to lead with grace and integrity.

Pillar 02

Student Growth

Every student is uniquely designed by their Creator, and we are committed to helping each one discover and develop their God-given gifts. Our whole-child approach to education nurtures academic, spiritual, emotional, and social growth in a supportive community.

Pillar 03

Student Excellence

Excellence is not about perfection — it is about pursuing your best with the gifts and opportunities you have been given. We set high academic standards while cultivating a growth mindset, resilience, and a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.
